Enjoy 10 hours of private Copper Canyon touring to Urique Canyon overlook from either Creel, or Divisadero. The ideal circumstance for this tour is to be picked up from your hotel in Divisadero in the early morning, enjoy the full day of touring to Urique Canyon, then be dropped off at your hotel Cerocahui. In this way you use the tour as a transfer as well (saving the train ticket cost) and the day is a bit shorter for you since you don’t have to backtrack at the end of the day. This Copper Canyon tour is all about enjoying a day ‘off the beaten tourist path’ with the expansive Urique Canyon views as the icing on the cake. It drives through the villages of San Rafael, Bahuichivo and finally along a dirt road to the overlook of Urique Canyon at Cerro Gallegos. There is a stop at the Mission in Cerocahui, time permitting.

Layers are always best and a light jacket or rain gear during the rainy season (July through Sept.) is also prudent. The weather can change abruptly here in the canyons at these altitudes so it is best to come prepared for a bit of everything.
So sorry, but in order to drive you the great distance to see the canyon overlook, there is simply no time for hiking. Though you will get to enjoy about an hour or so at the overlook, and you can do a bit of walking there along the trails.
